Multimedia Production Manager

We are seeking a seasoned, strategic, and results-oriented Multimedia Production Manager to take full ownership of our in-house studio facility and the overall technical execution of all media productions, both on-site and in the field.

As the leader of Multimedia Production, you will be responsible for defining operational standards, managing personnel, controlling the budget, and setting the technical strategy. You will serve as the primary liaison between Creative, Production, and Executive leadership, ensuring that our technical capabilities consistently align with and exceed our creative ambitions for high-quality, impactful media content.

What will I be doing?

Leadership & Strategic Management
  • P&L and Budget Ownership: Manage the entire Studio Production budget, overseeing all expenditures, forecasting capital improvements, and optimizing operational costs for equipment, software, and crew.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and schedule a team of Studio Production Specialists, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and safety.
  • Strategic Planning: Define the long-term vision and technical roadmap for the studio facility, including equipment procurement, infrastructure upgrades, and emerging technology integration (e.g., virtual production).
Studio & Field Operations
  • Facility Management: Take full responsibility for the physical studio facility, ensuring security, organization, cleanliness, and readiness for all bookings.
  • Offsite Production Oversight: Direct the logistics and technical execution of all offsite/field productions and events, ensuring seamless technical integration, adherence to budget, and high quality regardless of location.
  • Virtual Event Production: Lead the technical delivery of all virtual events and webinars, managing streaming platforms (e.g., Zoom, Webex, dedicated webcasting services), remote presenter connectivity, graphic overlays, and secure content distribution.
  • Workflow Optimization: Develop and implement standardized, efficient end-to-end production and post-production workflows that maximize throughput and minimize technical delays across all projects.
Technical Standards & Quality Control
  • Risk Mitigation: Implement robust technical contingency plans for both studio and field productions, acting as the final point of escalation for all critical technical and operational issues.
  • Standard Definition: Establish, document, and enforce high-quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for camera, lighting, audio, and safety across all production types.
  • Asset Management: Oversee the organization, maintenance, calibration, and tracking of the entire media equipment inventory (studio and mobile kits).

What is required of me?

  • Management Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in technical media production, with at least 2-3 years specifically in a managerial or supervisory role overseeing a dedicated production studio or media department.
  • Integrated Production Expertise: Expert-level knowledge and practical experience managing all three core production environments:
    • Fixed Studio (multi-camera, control room operation)
    • Field/Location (mobile logistics, power, travel)
    • Virtual/Webcasting (streaming platforms, remote contributor management, network stability, and security)
  • Technical Authority: Expert-level knowledge of broadcast systems, video switching, lighting control, digital audio, and professional streaming protocols.
  • Financial Acumen: Proven experience managing a significant operational budget, controlling costs, and making data-driven recommendations for capital equipment purchases.
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership, coaching, and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively manage internal technical teams and interface with executive stakeholders and remote presenters globally.
  • Adaptability: Proven track record of successfully managing simultaneous complex projects with strict deadlines in dynamic environments.
