Bitcoin and Singapore property transactions

Can crypto fund a Singapore property purchase?

A property transaction is completed through regulated Singapore-dollar payment, banking and conveyancing processes. Converting crypto into usable funds does not bypass source-of-funds, tax, financing or eligibility checks.

  1. Use regulated service providers and retain the complete transaction trail.
  2. Disclose the source of wealth and funds to the relevant bank, lawyer and estate agency parties.
  3. Plan for volatility, settlement timing and conversion fees before committing.
  4. Verify MAS, CEA, IRAS and conveyancing requirements for the exact transaction.
  5. Do not transfer crypto directly to an unknown seller or intermediary.
