LTA's EV Roadmap sets the policy context, while current registration and charging data should be checked for the measurement date. Singapore's plan includes cleaner-energy new registrations from 2030 and a national charging network, but household convenience depends on actual access and utilisation.
A household and building-level checklist
- Compare full purchase and ownership cost, not headline vehicle price.
- Check home, workplace and public charging access and tariffs.
- Verify connector compatibility, parking routine and realistic charging time.
- For strata property, ask about installed capacity, operator terms and expansion plans.
- Separate observed adoption from forecasts about resale or property value.
